Frame, PSU compartment and I/O panel
Then I cut out the motherboard mounting plate. The edges are tapped with M3 threads so they can be bolted to the inner panels.
The area above the frame is starting to take shape and there's also a size comparison between this project and my other one called Prime which won Mod of the Month in
January of this year.
PSU compartment and IO Panel
The PSU will be hidden behind two panels which I'm now about to cut out.
And now we get to the most fiddly part of this case, the I/O panel. When I was first asked to build this case, my first thought was to tilt the graphics card to show off the very pretty cooler on the Ares graphics card. I did this with a PCI-Express flex riser and a home made holder.
Unfortuantely I missed the opportunity to take pictures of the build process, but the final picture shows it off pretty well. I think it looks quite strange.
