Outer panels and SSD-mount
To hide all the screw heads on the front/back I simply put another panel on top of them, hiding what's underneath. A guy once asked me whether it was all welded so here's my solution.
There's really nothing special or interesting involved so here are some images of the result.
In the previous case I made for Asus the hard disks were mounted on the back of the motherboard plate and I'll make a similar thing this time as well. Albeit with a small twist.
Six pieces of goodies arrived from Intel. It does feel pretty scary having all these at home.
The cables will be hidden behind a piece of aluminium with holes cut out for the drives.
Front Section
Those of you who know my previous cases know I'm a big fan of depth, and the easiest way to create it is either with spacers or with layering. This time though I'll be milling a front from a piece of 5mm aluminium. This is what I've got planned:
This'll take a while so let's get cracking.
I decided to bolt it to the case by threading the back of it. While I normally have nothing against screw heads showing, this is not the right place for them.
