Wood Part Two

Many of the things I did right or wrong on the FiveWood project helped to make this one move even quicker. Some of the things that I borrowed from the FiveWood project include:
  • Reset and CD eject buttons made from scratch. Mind you there’s still electronic momentary switches in there: I’m not claiming I can make wood transmit electricity!
  • The optical drive door
  • Fitting of the optical/hard drives and the power supply was done the same way as in FiveWood.
As a result, this will definitely take the record as my fastest mod ever. I can guarantee that they'll never be another one from me this quick, as I don't expect to make another tiny mod yet.

Here are the three sections stacked which shows an early glimpse of how the case will turn out and be orientated. At the moment the joins are far from seamless but I had a few ideas to solve this problem which we'll get to later.
