Motherboard Shroud Continued
As you can see, it includes slots to allow tubing to run to and from both water blocks that would sit under the shroud, as well as providing breathing slots for the MOSFET coolers previously installed.
Initially, I was going to integrate red lighting into the shroud, but I figured I didn’t want what could be misconstrued as a miniature brothel lit up inside my chassis. In all seriousness, I thought it would counteract the whole point of the shroud which was to stealth things.
Below shows the actual piece cut and installed in the case as well as the beginning of the plumbing of the loops.

To complete the stealthy theme, I wanted to make some plates to completely cover the sides of the 5.25in bays, the double 120mm radiator down below to compliment the HDD caddy, and the triple 120mm radiator across the upper top towards the back of the chassis. This meant that in the event of looking inside the case you’d be met with a tidy understated view clean of any excessive wiring, tangles of hair, or other less-attractive forms of laziness.

In the interests of ease and common sense, I designed the pieces to utilise some stock screw holes on the chassis itself, and using simple thumbscrews to mount them.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you that either trolled the original lengthy, bloated and out-of-control project log for this build, checked in occasionally, or just dismissed it with a guttural ‘meh’ and clicked to the next project-log with pretty pictures. I sincerely appreciate it all the same. Feedback, either good or bad, means you’re actually watching. I also wanted to thank any and all who actually spent time to post something too. It’s an honor being a part of such a large global community of talent and creativity.
And a sincere thanks goes to the
bit-tech staff for working behind the scenes to make things go as smoothly as possible on these forums. Round of applause,
bit-tech. You deserve it!
