Being satisfied that the undercarriage was on the right track, I proceeded to fix the parts together. M4 stainless screws were used with the holes were counter-bored with a 7mm drill so the socket head bolts sat flush with the metal surface.

Due to the large size and weight of modern graphics cards, the support for the motherboard mounted slightly off-centre. This was quite fortuitous as the resulting gap between the support and the front fan holder aided cable management.

Up until this point, I'd used an old motherboard and PSU for measurements. Thankfully, some of the prizes I'd won started to trickle in and I was able to use them to finalise certain aspects of the design.

The PSU needed mounting holes re-tapped to accept M4 screws, so that when fitted the PSU just hangs off the support.
