I had to cut out a long thin bit for the DVD gap in the top panel. Then I had to drill all the rods and thread the holes for M6 screws, as well as design and prepare motherboard tray.

The motherboard tray and top panel needed few cuts to make space for amin rods and the DVD. The aluminium rods to accommodate the motherboard tray had to be trimmed a bit. To make it properly I asked Tom from ChilledPC for help – he trimmed them nicely on CNC.

To put those rods, top and bottom panels together, I used metal dowels. I drilled huge 10mm holes in the top and bottom of all rods and placed those dowels inside. Then I drilled smaller holes for screws in the side of the rods at 90 degrees to the dowel. To show the size of the frame I put a two litre bottle of Coke inside of it for comparison. It is that small!

Just before Christmas one of the first hardware packages came in. DFI was very kind to support my project with its brand new DFI MI P55 T36 mITX motherboard. This is a really small powerful piece of hardware.

The second package that came in was a huge package from EK, who supported my project with its watercooling parts – pump, reservoir and huge triple radiator. Best Christmas ever:)

During Christmas break I found some time to do some work on the case and put together a few panels, clean up all holes, sand all the panel edges and put all what I had prepared together.
