For a few more leg details I cut some discs out of Vikureen polystyrene, and then in half to add to the sides.
I took a normal pen cap, added some thick wire mesh then sanded the cap down to get a more elegant connection to the foot. Finally I put a rubber ring on the end and glued it to the foot for a bit of extra flair.
The extra polystyrene plates were cut and added to the legs to round off with a few extra "panels".
I got the legs cut and reset at 18 degrees. This also meant that I needed measure and gauge how the third leg counterbalanced the new build angle too. That also required an extra four inches on the legs, so poor R2 got a rather painful, cut, extension and repaint in the process.
I added a lick of paint to the antenna and mounted it as well.
