The specification of Steampunk Frankenstein might appear a little out of date but the components were the best I could find when I started the project close to two ago. As it is, I’m still able to play titles such as Half Life 2, Far Cry 2 and Crysis with all the bells and whistles turned on using a 22 inch LCD widescreen monitor.
Additional projects and pictures
Finally, speaking of my obsession with Steampunk here are some other items I've applied the style to! I used a giant solid brass gear for the base of the lamp and a flyball steam governor that came from an elevator and a solid brass Model T spot light.
I converted the wiring to a braided cloth covered plug and added a touch sensor to turn it three levels of on to off. The total weight on the scale is 55 pounds - not quite as heavy as the PC though!
The Steampunk center artwork is by John Coulthart based on a formula by Jeff VanderMeer.

(www.trevmurphy.com). The frame was created by me - D. Mattocks.
