CeBIT Modding Roundup:

This year's CeBIT trade show wasn't quite what it was last year, and we're expecting next year to be more of the same in that respect. Even though the days of trade shows appear to be numbered, with many manufacturers choosing not to turn up, many of the world's best modders are turning up with their latest creations.

Let's have a look over some of the best mods from this year's show!

Butterkneter's brothers:

Butterkneter has had many of his case mod projects published on bit-tech.net, with his most famous being the amazing Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 case mods that EA commissioned him to make. At this year’s WCG Case Modding competition, he had two mods on show, both of which were incredibly well executed pieces that continue the military and industrial themes that his best work is based around.

The first is called B2 Industrial, which cost him around 150 Euros to build (excluding components inside) and took him around 80 hours from start to finish. The paint job was especially good, as was the choice of materials used to recreate certain industrialised effects.

The second case he was exhibiting at the show is called F.U.B.A.R., but judging by its looks, it is far from Fubar. It’s based around a Shuttle XPC and took about 60-70 hours and 300 Euros to build. As with B2 Industrial, that cost doesn’t include computer hardware installed in the case. In addition to the case mod itself, Butterkneter has also modded his keyboard, mouse and a couple of monitors to fit in with the rest of the Radar/Battleship theme.
