Proxima by Razer2007
Project Log: Here
He's already picked up one Mod of the Month prize in September 2010 and Razer2007, who's also one of bit-tech's most talented 3D renderers, is well on the way to making another stunning project. This one's called Proxima and it's certainly one of the more unusually-shaped cases we've seen.
Razer2007's renders never fail to impress and Proxima's early designs look fantastic with a sweeping shell edged with dark wood and a large side panel window making up the bulk of this interesting-looking scratch build. It wasn't long before we saw something in the flesh either, with the shell being crafted out of sheet metal, already sporting the rear I/O panel.
A mid-section plate is also on the cards as per the original renders and it looks like the system will be water-cooled too with a Laing DDC pump located in the from of the case. Our favourite feature so far is this reservoir that's been specially fitted to the case along with a cut out matching its shape for a super-clean look.
The project looks fantastic already but make sure you head over to the Proxima project log to see the rest of the work and any future updates. Head over to the
forum to cast one of your votes for it.
That's all for this month! We'll be back next month with the next edition of Mod of the Month. Stay tuned.
