Server and Gaming Case by Spotswood

Project Log: Here

We've got yet another potent water-cooled scratch-build here, and Spotswood is pulling no punches as far as specifications are concerned. The cube-shaped case will house two E-ATX motherboards, two PSUs, 24 hard disks, six SSDs and two triple 120mm-fan radiators.

Early renders were posted when the log was started in April, and these showed a triple-tier cube that's surprisingly compact given the hardware that will be installed inside. Spotswood is a custom case builder, so he was able to modify his existing templates to cater for the case's unusual dimensions.

Most of the project's parts were made from sheet aluminium, including the motherboard trays. If metalwork-related modding interests you, then it would be a crime not to check out Spotswood's project log, which contains many more images of this stage of the project.

Above we can see a mock-up of the backpanel, which clearly shows the lower two tiers. These will provide a home for the two E-ATX motherboards, each with its own PSU. We get a great view of the super-neat frame at this stage too.

In one of the more recent updates to the project log, Spotswood added images showing some of the other details of the case, including the hard disk cage in an early and near-complete form.

We don't recommend missing anything in Spotswood's project log. Head over to our forum if you would like to vote for it.
