PC-Beto by p0Pe
Project log: Here
Yet more sexy renders and yet again we're looking at a fantastic mod in the making. PC-Beto started out at the tail end of 2009 but has come a long way since then.
The early renders are of course spectacular. However half way through the log we came across what looked like another render, which actually turned out to be the real thing in its early stages so clearly forum user p0Pe is hopefully going pull this off!
If he does we have no doubt it will be be one of best mods to surface out of 2010 and all the others this month have that potential too. The transformation on show is also pretty cool with PC-Beto starting life as a rather unattractive, stripped down beige PC tower.
Here's the tower before it received it's much needed attention and on the right is the beginnings of the cooling system with a radiator test-fitted in the front of the case.
Here are those gorgeous renders and while green might not be many people's first choice, it certainly looks fantastic here with the black case as a backdrop. With three Laing DDC pumps in the mix too, we're expecting big things in this project log soon.
One feature we loved so far about the build is the fact that despite appearing to be part metal, part acrylic, the sidepanels and front fascia are actually made of green acrylic overlayed with a matte black foil. This looks pretty hard to achieve but p0Pe has managed to pull it off and it simply looks awesome.
This is also one of the first appearances we've seen of a Jon Lund reservoir - they do look rather nice and seem to fit perfectly in with PC-Beto's colour scheme. Finally we almost skipped past this last image as another render but it's actually the real thing! The black foil really does look the business.
It's one project we'll certainly be keeping our eyes and make sure you check for any updates in his project log. If you'd like to vote for PC-Beto, head over to
