DBRS Project

By G69T
Worklog: Here

G69T is quite simply in a class of his own. His previous project, Dark Blade is one of bit-tech's most popular mods ever, racking up nearly three million hits. Yep, that's a three with no less than six zeros after it.. This is testament to his work though which is exquisite, there's no other word for it.

The attention to detail and level of engineering involved is quite simply awe-inspiring and the hardware that comes off the production line looks like it was made for NASA or Mercedes' new hyper car.

So needless to say when we saw he was back at work in May, Richard, Tim and I were getting very silly about what we might see over the coming months. Work has been progressed slowly but surely and we now feel there's enough on show to bring his new project, entitled DBRS, out to the masses.

As with other scratch builds this month, we have a feeling that the clue is in the title which bares the same name as a recent addition to the Aston Martin family of supercars. This, and the addition of a sporty looking chair and Logitech G25 racing wheel set seem to suggest this might be some kind of racing simulator. Only time will tell but in the mean time the cutting lathe is hard at work and so is G69T's camera.

As with Dark Blade, there's very little said about what the parts actually are but his only adds to the suspense. Some of the first parts to arrive on our forums seem to be some kind of rotating plate like a large peddle.

Above, more exquisite parts grace us with their presence. the fact that each is custom made really does bring home the skill involved here.

Yet more eye candy and again we have no idea what these parts are going to be except that some are apparently part of an adjustable racing seat. We can't wait to see more of DBRS so make sure you add G69T's project log to your favourites!
