Performance Analysis

The porous front and roof panels coupled with the single exhaust fan are enough to give the Enthoo Pro M the joint best result for CPU cooling along with Cooler Master's MasterCase Pro 5. We've only tested a few cases so far but the delta T of 59°C is a promising result and demonstrates that the chassis can easily deal with the heat of an overclocked CPU.

With just one fan in the case, our graphics card has nothing directly feeding it cool air, but the result of 46°C is still not bad. The EVOLV ATX has the same internal design and a solid front panel rather than a mesh one, but it also sports a pair of 140mm intake fans, which helps it achieve a better result. The fact that this case is not far behind – just 2°C, in fact – without any intake fans at all shows the benefit of having mesh up front.

We were also pleased to note that the case fan's noise is relatively quiet. The chassis doesn't do much to contain noise, but overall it's unlikely to annoy you from this perspective.

Conclusion

This is another strong entry into the case market from Phanteks, and we're happy to see it hit a truly affordable price point with as much skill as it's shown in higher end markets. For the most part, high levels of build quality are maintained, though the side panels could do with some work. The Enthoo Pro M's feature set really impresses given its price point too; a roof dust filter, rubber case feet, rubber grommets on the routing holes, Velcro ties and seriously impressive water-cooling support are all present and correct.

It also looks the business too, with a smart and clean aesthetic complemented by the fact that it's so easy to keep your system tidy as well. It offers full dust protection and adequate cooling from the get go, with plenty of room to expand if you want to tame heat further. Still, it's not a clear win, as Fractal Design's Define S matches the Enthoo Pro M now on price, as well as on most features, and NZXT's S340 is another cracking case. In summary, if you have £60 to spend on a case, the Enthoo Pro M should definitely be on your shortlist.
