CoolIT

While our friends in the States have had the benefit of CoolIT products for a while, they’ve only been available in limited quantity over here in the UK.

As we dropped into the CoolIT booth we were instantly told that from now on you should be able to buy these specialist cooling products from UK retailer Scan.

CoolIT’s completely enclosed watercooling systems were shown off featuring Nvidia ESA technology, as well as its own proprietary software that monitored the chillers and even applied a new feature called predictive cooling.

Basically the software measures CPU load and pre-empts the increased heat by increasing the cooling capacity. So instead of jumping and dropping temperatures you can obtain a steady and more stable system by maintaining a consistent environment.

Shown off was yet another Skulltrail board, but with its two CPUs, the northbridge and both Radeon HD 3870 cards watercooled with CoolIT kit. Even though the system was heavily overclocked and loaded with Prime95, it was still kept impressively cool.

Obviously these kits come at a price, but hopefully it should work to bridge the gap between those wanting to spend more money, but don’t want to risk putting together a separate watercooling kit.
