Memory Scaling in Games

Integrated graphics performance is particularly sensitive to changes in memory frequency typically the DDR3 bus becomes throttled in gaming workloads where masses of information is constantly required by the GPU. To test the impact of memory frequency on Kaveri, we replaced our 1,600MHz kit with a 2,133MHz one, running it at both 1,866MHz and 2,133MHz and repeating three of our gaming tests.
