Far Cry:
As with the other gaming tests, the Core Duo T2600 performed as well as the Athlon 64 X2 4800+, despite the clock speed deficit. It also performed similarly to Intel's flagship Pentium Extreme Edition 965, but that wasn't enough to make it Intel's fastest chip in this test. That title went to the Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.73GHz if you discount the overclocked T2600. The overclocked T2600 was the fastest chip in the test by over seven frames per second and was nearly 20 frames per second faster than AMD's Athlon 64 FX-60.
At higher resolutions and detail settings, the Core Duo T2600 outperformed AMD's Athlon 64 X2 4800+. When overclocked, it rocked the boat and was the fastest chip by a considerable margin - it was over seven frames per second faster than the FX-57, while AMD's flagship FX-60 was nearly 15 fps slower.
