In a direct comparison with a single 7900GTX, the KA3 MVP performs a few seconds slower, probably due to the memory bandwidth issue, but it seems the CrossFire overhead is non-existent in 2D, actually creating a better result than single card testing and a significantly better result than the other boards in SLI.

With file compression, encryption and decompression the ECS KA3 MVP suffers in both CrossFire and single card mode against the faster nForce 590 SLI boards. This may also be due to the memory bandwidth again, where the compression and encryption difference is larger than file decompression which is more hard disk limited, where the two types of boards perform almost identically.
