Leadtek’s box is a familiar design that comes with just about all of the necessary information on the front and back of the box – the only thing we’d like to see included somewhere is the clock speeds.

This is something that we’ve noticed with all of Leadtek’s products, and I think it’d help to give the customer more of an idea of exactly what they’re getting because it has both reference and pre-overclocked cards in its range.

The box itself comes packed to the gills with extras – this seems fairly typical going on previous Leadtek products that we’ve tested. Meanwhile, the card comes packed in a padded anti-static bag and is secured in a cardboard compartment in the middle of the box.


In the box we received from Leadtek, there was one DVI-to-VGA converter, one DVI-to-HDMI adapter, a couple of six-pin PCI-Express to four-pin Molex cables, a component and S-video dongle, a full copy of Neverwinter Nights 2, a quick install guide and a driver CD. The game is a bit old for our liking, and we’re sure that most will have either already played the game, or won’t be interested in it – it’s a value-add that doesn’t add much value, in our opinion.

Despite this though, there’s nothing about Leadtek’s bundle to really complain about. Sure, it would’ve been nice to see a pair of DVI-to-VGA converters, but as we’ve already mentioned, the increased presence of digital flatscreen monitors makes supplying two digital-to-analogue converters a bit of overkill. You could say the same about the two PCI-Express power adapters since most—if not all—of this card’s target market will likely have a power supply with at least one six-pin power connector on it.

Warranty

Leadtek offers a two-year warranty covering parts and labour. During the first year in the product's life, your point of contact should be the retailer. If you're having problems getting hold of the retailer, or the retailer goes out of business, you should contact the manufacturer directly.

During the second year of the warranty, you should talk directly with Leadtek if you are having issues with the product. This is nothing special in our opinion and many partners are offering much longer warranties than this – we’re not even thinking about BFG Tech and EVGA here, who both offer 10 year warranties on competing cards. Of course, with a higher end card, two years is a reasonable lifetime for the product in most cases, but we still feel the warranty should be a little longer.
