To overclock the card, we took to the ThunderMaster utility from Palit, which works but could do with a visual upgrade.
The power limit was set to 114 percent and the temperature limit to 88°C – both the maximum allowed. We also pushed the voltage slider all the way up to reduce bottlenecks further.
Impressively, we were able to add 175MHz to the card, giving us new base and boost clocks of 1,585MHz and 1,795MHz respectively. We also got the memory to play ball up until 15.6Gbps. The results of our overclocking in a few benchmarks are shown below.
