Overclocking

We used Zotac's own Firestorm utility to overclock the GTX 780 Ti AMP! Even so, we were unable to unlock any form of voltage control, but began as always by raising the power limit and temperature target to 106 percent and 95°C, the maximum allowed respectively.

We eventually settled on a base clock of 1,160MHz. Not only is this an impressive 15 percent (154MHz in absolute terms) over Zotac's clock speed, but it represents a massive 32 percent increase compared to the reference speed. It also happens to be 60MHz higher than the base clock we hit with the stock GTX 780 Ti, although in practice it didn't appear to bring much benefit. Despite the higher base clock of the Zotac card, both it and the stock GTX 780 Ti capped out at around 1,230MHz when placed under load.

As for the memory, we again managed to get this to 1.95GHz (7.8GHz effective) before witnessing instabilities. This is equal to an 8 percent increase over Zotac's original clock (11 percent over stock). At this frequency, the card has a memory bandwidth of 374.4GB/sec.

In the charts below, we've left in the results of the reference GTX 780 Ti at both stock speeds and the overclocked settings (where we have them) so it can be easily compared to the GTX 780 Ti AMP!
