Left 4 Dead 2 Performance
Publisher: Valve Software
Despite being made in the relatively old Source engine, Left 4 Dead 2 still looks great, especially with all the eye candy on. It's also a great benchmark for low end machines, as other popular games, such as Counter Strike: Source and Team Fortress 2 also use the Source engine.
For testing we loaded the first act of the Dead Center campaign and set a 60 second FRAPS benchmark running from opening the first door from the roof, taking in the action of us clearing the hallway and adjoining rooms of common infected. This test is repeated three times and the average taken, discarding anomalous results as appropriate.
