Gaming Performance - Counter Strike: Source and Race Driver: GRID
For our games testing we selected four popular online games -
Counter Strike: Source, Team Fortress 2, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and
Race Driver: GRID all of which were run at 1,680 x 1,050 with maximum quality settings and no AA applied. Frame rates were tested using FRAPS which ran for three separate 60 second periods; an average of the three returned results was taken.
Pings were measured over a four minute period in each game and were recorded by holding down the button to display pings while FRAPS took screen shots every 30 seconds. Results were then added up and averaged to get our average ping for that four minute period.
Counter Strike: Source
Our
Counter Strike: Source testing was carried out on a single UK based 32-slot server running the gun game mod on the Dust 2 map. Ping was recorded using the net_graph 3 command.

Race Driver: GRID
Our
GRID testing was carried out on a single 12-slot European server during a Euro Touring Car series. Unfortunately we couldn't find any way to measure our ping in this game so only collected frame rate data.
