Gaming performance is very good for the Abit IX38 QuadGT and is consistent with the other boards tested. The twin PCI-Express x16 lanes provide far more bandwidth than the x16/x4 split that the IP35 Pro offers.

Even though the idle power consumption is about the same as the feature packed Asus Maximus Formula, the load results are several watts higher, most likely due to the digital PWMs used on the Abit board. Comparatively, the P35 chipset on the Abit IP35 Pro uses quite a bit less juice than all the X38 boards at both idle and load.
