The SATA performance is pretty solid, with the nForce 780a SLI MCP reaching within a fraction of that of the SATA performance of the Asus 790FX. What the CrossHair II Formula is missing out on though is eSATA.

The USB performance of the nForce 780a MCP is excellent, achieving a solid 34.6MB/s we'd expect from the USB 2.0 bus. The AMD southbridges on the other hand are abysmal.
