Handbrake H.264 Encoding
Website: HandBrake
Our test uses HandBrake - an open-source, GPL-licensed, multiplatform, multithreaded video transcoder, available for MacOS X, Linux and Windows - to encode a high resolution MPEG-2 video using the H.264 codec. This primarily tests multi-threaded CPU and memory subsystem performance.

Across the board the Asus H57 scores top marks at stock speed, with clearly very impressive results. Overclocked and it looks just as good in image editing but sits mid-low table in video encoding and multitasking. Despite its high clock speed - slightly higher than the Gigabyte H55-UD2M even - its worse memory performance could be a factor here.
