Biostar TForce4 U 775

General Performance:

The CPU utilisation during HD WMV9 720p playback on the Biostar TForce4 U 775 rivals the average CPU load on the DFI LANParty nF4 SLI-DR, and it is convincingly more efficient than the Intel D975XBX motherboard.

The Pentium 4 Extreme Edition 3.73GHz isn't a match for the FX-57 in our MP3 encoding test. There is two seconds between the Biostar board and the Intel desktop board in favour of the NVIDIA-based Biostar motherboard.

The difference in performance between the two Intel in our Xvid encoding test is massive - the Biostar motherboard completed the test almost two minutes faster than the Intel D975XBX board. We were getting consistent results on both boards, so we don't think that this is a freak result.

Again, the Biostar is faster than the Intel motherboard, but falls behind the two AMD-based boards.
