The Lavalys Everest memory performance test produced something of a mixed bag for the UD3R. In the write test, the board scored the slowest of any X58 board we've tested so far. In contrast, the read and copy tests were much better, with the UD3R coming in third place just behind its more expensive Gigabyte siblings.

The UD3R also held third place in the Everest latency test, again just behind the more expensive Gigabyte GA-EX58-DS4.

However, there was more bad news in the SiSoft Sandra unbuffered memory test, where the UD3R came last by a considerable margin. Likewise, in the Sandra memory latency test the UD5R wasn't especially fast.
