Gaming Performance:
Since the SN27P2 only has a single PCI-Express x16 slot we only compared single GeForce 7900 GTX tests to the other boards, even if they were SLI or CrossFire capable. The ST27P2 falls slightly behind the two nForce 590 SLI mobos in the same manner that the MSI K9N SLI Platinum does. This is because the nForce 570-series chipsets don't have LinkBoost technology - this auto-overclocks the PCI-Express bus with compatible video cards, resulting in a couple of frames per second advantage in Call of Duty 2. In the other games, there was an equal footing across the tested subjects, proving that LinkBoost doesn't always result in performance improvements.
