Oblivion Game Save Loads
Oblivion at high resolution and detail was used, with a reboot between each game load to avoid data pre-caching into memory. Two separate save games were tested.

A straight game load is faster in nearly all accounts. It's only a couple of seconds at best though, but it's a step in the right direction.
Strangely we got an anomalous result with the second Oblivion save game loading time, with 2GB of memory actually being significantly faster on a 7200RPM drive. We tested each save game loading several times to get a consistent result, but we just can't find the reason why it was always significantly faster in this particular test.
