Cooling start-up Cryorig has announced plans to celebrate its first full year in business with a couple of competitions, including one to give away a special-edition heatsink featuring 24-carat gold accents.
Taiwanese start-up Cryorig announced its first product, the
Cryorig R1, back in December last year - just five months after the company's founding. Its staff, Cryorig claimed at the time, had been working in heatsink engineering since 2000 for brands including Phanteks, Prolimatech and Thermalright. More products followed, including the
ITX-compatible C1 and a novel
Hive Fin design, while most recently the company unveiled a
origami compatibility tester to check RAM clearance for its heatsink range.
Now, to boost interest, the company has announced a pair of competitions. The first is open only to Cryorig VIP members - that is, users who have purchased at least one Cryorig product and registered it on the official website, and has as its prize a somewhat ostentatious Cyrorig R1 Ultimate heatsink featuring a shroud plated in 24-carat genuine gold. Only one such heatsink will ever be made, the company has claimed, making it a genuine exclusive for the lucky winner.
The second competition is open globally to anyone regardless of past affiliation. This offers three winners the ability to pick any Cryorig heatsink from the company's current range in any colour scheme as part of its new Chromatic Special Edition offering, designed to allow system builders to match an existing colour scheme.
Details of how to enter either competition - or, indeed, both - are available on the
official website. Both competitions close on the 31st of December.
