EVGA has announced a quartet of competitions to celebrate its 16th anniversary, the grand prize for which is 5,000 EVGA Bucks for redemption on its web store.
As a means of celebrating its 16th year in business, EVGA has opted to launch a competition with four means of entry: Search and Destroy, Shadow Army, Blackhawk Rafflecopter, and Battle Royal [sic]. The first is a very simple scavenger hunt: simply browse through the company's website to find medals; click on a medal to find a pair of questions which lead to sponsor's websites for a bit of cross-promotional advertising; answer all 20 questions and you get an entry.
Shadow Army, meanwhile, is for the gamers: while designed for Nvidia's ShadowPlay recording software, users of any game video recording package can upload clips of no more than 16 seconds to YouTube in order to gain an entry. The Blackhawk Rafflecopter is a social media entry system: Like, Follow, or Pin the company's official page on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest to enter, and gain additional entries by annoying your friends with reposts.
Finally, Battle Royal asks for gamers to enter EVGA's game servers before the end of the month and play Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Team FOrterss 2, CounterStrike Gobal Offensive, Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, or Battlefield: Hardline. A simple connection is enough to gain a single entry, while additional entries are available for longer playtimes up to 15 hours.
The prizes vary depending on the competition you enter: the grand price, available for Search and Destroy entrants, is 5,000 EVGA Bucks for redemption on the company's website, while other prizes include power supplies, graphics cards, motherboards, processors, hardware bundles, and even entire gaming PCs.
