Rumours about the Batman remastered collection have given the rereleases a mythical stature not a million miles away from the caped crusader himself. But now the Bat-Signal is blazing through the sky, and Warner Brothers have officially announced the Batman: Return to Arkham collection for the PS4 and Xbox One.

Unfortunately the remasters, using Unreal Engine 4, haven't been announced for the PC. With the issues that are still plaguing Arkham Knight, I wouldn't expect it to surface on Steam soon.

The remastered titles are Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, widely known as "the good Arkham games", and they're being worked on by Virtuos, the studio behind Heavy Rain's recent port to the current gen, and indeed, it all looks very pretty so far. Return to Arkham will include all of that sweet Game of the Year content and any other DLC bits and pieces while also showing off some upgraded models, environments and lighting. The Dark Knight has never looked so good.

The collection will release on July 29. Get this trailer in your eyeballs, won't you?
