The CV of an ex-Bioware developer has revealed that Bioware was working on Jade Empire 2 until at least 2007, as well as other projects that never saw release.

The news comes after Eurogamer spotted on ex-Lead Level Designer Rafael Brown's LinkedIn CV that an 'Unreleased Games' section listed Jade Empire 2.

The sequel to Bioware's wuxia RPG was apparently in development from 2006 to 2007 and was planned for the current generation of consoles and PC.

Brown's CV also lists him as the Lead World Designer on other unannounced and unreleased projects.

Bioware hasn't yet given a reason as to Jade Empire 2 never saw a release, nor what the other projects might have been.

Back in 2009 Bioware's Mike Laidlaw told Strategy Informer that, while the company didn't have anything to announce regarding the Jade Empire franchise, it was still a staff favourite and something many of the team wanted to return to.

Bioware's currently announced titles don't include Jade Empire 2, obviously - Mass Effect 3 and Star Wars: The Old Republic are too busy hogging the limelight. Check the trailer for the latter below.

Personally, we hated Jade Empire with a fiery passion that burns with the brightness of a thousand exploding suns. Let us know your thoughts in the forums.
