Electronic Arts has officially unveiled the first two expansion packs for
Spore - the
Cute and Creepy Parts Pack and a new Adventure Maker and space expansion.
The
Cute and Creepy Parts Pack had already been unofficially revealed, but EA today announced some of the details and revealed that the expansion will cost $19.95 USD or about £11 GBP. The
Parts Pack will be compatible with both the full version of
Spore, as well as the
Creature Creator mini-version.
The
Cute and Creepy Parts Pack is an obvious and quick way to cash in on the success of
Spore - so quick in fact that it'll be out by November 18th.
The second expansion is currently untitled but will be an expansion of the Space Stage for
Spore and won't arrive until Spring 2009. The good news though is that the Space Expansion looks to be a lot bigger and better than the
Cute and Creepy Parts Pack. The Space Expansion will add in the ability for your creatures to teleport down to planets from the Space Stage and use their creatures to complete various challenges.
The Space Expansion will also come with a new creator mode too, one which will let players make new challenges and missions to tackle when they do teleport down.

The fact that EA has jumped on
Spore as quickly as possible and started creating expansions is no real surprise, but will you be buying them? Let us know your reactions,
