Rockstar has finally let slip the first few details of what gamers can expect in the PC version of
Grand Theft Auto 4, promising that the game will see improvements to graphics and gameplay across the board.
In a preview with
1-UP, Rockstar revealed that the game will have better graphics for starters, with a maximum resolution of 2560x1600 as well as higher-res textures and a radically increased draw distance.
The PC version of the game will also get additions to the multiplayer mode too. Rockstar has only hinted about the specifics in the past, but now we know that the the PC version will support more than 16 players, which is the maximum the console version allow.
Unfortunately, there's no exact word on how many more players the PC version will allow, but Rockstar is also rebuilding the filtering options for the PC version too so it will be easier to find and access online matches.
If that weren't enough then Rockstar is also adding in a new Replay function which will constantly record the last 30 seconds of player activities, enabling you to capture and replay those really stunning stunts with ease.
Even better, these clips can then be edited together using an included montage editor before being uploaded to Rockstar's Social Club website.
There's still no release date or system requirements announced, but in the meantime you can check out
our extensive review of the console version of the game or let us know your thoughts in
the forums.
