Sony higher-up Phil Harrison was one of the biggest proponents of Sony's interactive community non-game, Home and his departure from the company has made many fans uneasy.

Home has been in development for a long time and was originally planned for the PlayStation 2 - so could the loss of the games biggest champion halt development further?

No.

In a statement given to GameDaily recently Sony confirmed that it will be "business as usual for Home."

Phil Harrison was/is CEO and President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios, but announced his departure a few days ago and revealed that he will be taking a position at Atari instead.

The last major announcement about Home came late last year and things have been oddly quiet for the community non-game lately, though a few displays at GDC '08 proved that the company is still working on the project.

Are you excited by Home, or would you prefer some proper games instead? Let us know in the forums.
