It's been a long, long time since anybody heard anything about Battlefield 1943 on the PC, especially since all Battlefield fans have been distracted with Bad Company 2 lately, but DICE and EA have today confirmed that the 1942 remake is still in development for PC.

Speaking on the official Battlefield blog, DICE has confirmed that the PC version of the game will be out "soon".

Soon our PC fans will also be able to get in on the action that Xbox 360 and PS3 users have been enjoying since July 2009,” goes the ever informative and specific spiel.

Electronic Arts is no doubt eager to get the game out on PC too, even if it is a year late, and has just revealed that the Xbox Live version of the multiplayer shooter has sold over one million copies since launch.

The news marks Battlefield 1943 as the single fastest Xbox Live game to reach one million copies sold. Kudos.
