We're in need of a news writer to work on
bit-tech and
bit-gamer. This is a freelance position on the publications, so it's ideal for those of you who are unable to apply for the office-based
staff writer position for which we're recruiting at the moment.
The successful applicant will be required to research and write several news stories a day for our two websites, so a flexible, creative approach is important. As well as plenty of writing talent, we’re looking for someone who has demonstrated the ability to work well under pressure, as hitting deadlines is key to succeeding in the role.
This is a freelance role, so it can be done from anywhere in the world and while previous experience of journalism is an advantage, it's not a requirement for applicants. What is required is a passion for PC hardware and modding, as well as gaming and broader digital technology.
If you're interested in applying for the position of freelance news writer, then please email your CV and an example 300-word news story in the style of
bit-tech to the group editor, James Gorbold; editor at bit-tech dot net.
