Be Quiet! has announced a new tower cooler, the Pure Rock Slim, with an asymmetric design it claims will help it squeeze onto cramped mini-ITX motherboards.
The Be Quiet! Pure Rock Slim, the company claims, has been designed for smaller builds which nevertheless boast enough clearance for its upright 92mm seven-blade 'SilentWings' fan and 124.8mm height. Where such tower-style coolers are compatible, the company says that the asymmetric layout of the fin stacks - which sees the rear stack being significantly higher than the front stack - will aid with clearance of RAM modules and other components that can otherwise foul larger heatsinks.
Featuring three 6mm outside-diameter heat pipes running through a copper base to the twin aluminium fin stacks, Be Quiet! claims the Pure Rock Slim is capable of cooling any current Intel or AMD processor with up to a 120W thermal design profile (TDP). The overall size of the cooler comes in at 81.8mm by 97mm, plus the aforementioned 128.8mm height, including the bundled fan but excluding the size of the mounting brackets used.

official product page. UK availability and pricing have yet to be confirmed.
