Nvidia has announced a refresh for its GeForce game bundle deal, which will see those buying the company's top-end hardware receiving a copy of CDProjekt Red's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
Nvidia has worked with CD Projekt Red to bring several GeForce-exclusive technologies to the latest title in the franchise, promising support for PhysX physics acceleration for more realistic clothing motion and HairWorks hair-simulation to do the same for character and creature hair and fur. Naturally, the company is eager to capitalise on that relationship and is offering a copy of the game to anyone buying its higher-end GeForce graphics cards.
The offer, which is live now, is available to anyone purchasing a graphics card based on Nvidia's GeForce GTX 960, GTX 970 or GTX 980 designs - but not, it must be noted, its top-end Titan family - or a laptop based on the GeForce GTX 970M or above graphics processor. An in-pack code can be redeemed for a download key for the title, which will entitle the user to download the game starting on its official launch date of the 19th of May 2015.
Naturally, there are the usual caveats: the offer is limited to one download code per customer, regardless of how many graphics cards you buy; the in-pack codes expire after the 31st of May 2015; the offer cannot be stacked with any other offer; the download codes cannot be traded or sold on; and only purchases of new hardware from participating retailers are valid for redemption.
In the UK, that latter rule covers purchases from Aria, Box, Chillblast, Cyberpower, Dabs, Ebuyer, FreshTech, Novatech, Overclockers UK, PC Specialist, Save on Laptops, Scan and Yoyotech; purchases from other retailers won't receive the bundle.
More details, plus a list of qualified retailers in other countries, are available at the
official website.
