Overclocking

As with the Palit RTX 2070 Dual, the maximum power limit and temperature limit are 114 percent (200W) and 88°C respectively. We set these in MSI Afterburner and also pushed the voltage slider to maximum for good measure. While the latest version of Afterburner does include the Scanner auto-overclocking tool, it didn’t seem to work for us, so we stuck with the standard manual method.

Remarkably, the results were exactly the same as with Palit. We were able to add 175MHz to the clock speeds, bringing us to 1,585MHz base and 1,795MHz boost. A 10 percent memory overclock, meanwhile, was also possible, leaving us with an effective speed of 15.6Gbps.

The results of these efforts are shown in a few benchmarks below.
