Hans Reiser, creator of the ReiserFS journalling file system, has been sentenced to fifteen years to life imprisonment for the murder of his estranged wife, Nina.

Abandoning his claims of innocence, open-source programmer Hans Reiser has lead police to his murdered wife's body in exchange for a lighter sentence.
