IBM has just revealed that 32nm chips will be available to its partners late next year, including Microsoft. That means that the 360 could skip 45nm altogether!
Those of you waiting for the new 65nm CPUs and revised heatsinks before you buy a 360 this Christmas now need wait no longer. The Falcon has landed.
Reports are surfacing that the new Falcon chipsets for the Xbox 360 are now being shipped but that only the CPU is changed to 65nm.
Version 2 of the Xbox, codenamed "Zephyr" will get HDMI, a 65nm die shrink and a 120GB hard disk.
