Indie developer Mode 7 has announced that the fantastic turn-based strategy game Frozen Synapse will soon be headed to Apple's iPad platform after a low-key reveal at Nottingham's GameCity event recently.
Mode 7 also used the announcement to reveal that Frozen Synapse has sold over 300,000 units on PC, Mac and Linux to date.
'Despite my lumpen, sausage-like digits, I am particularly excited about Frozen Synapse coming to the iPad,
' said joint Managing Director Paul Taylor in a statement.
Frozen Synapse for the iPad will enter beta soon, says Mode 7, who have confirmed that the game will be compatible with both the original iPad 1 and newer iPad 2.
'Not only are we doing this iPad thing, but we are also looking at better ways of updating and supporting the game on its current platforms – expect some new things in the New Year.
A price and final release date for the iPad version of Frozen Synapse will be announced next year.
Frozen Synapse has been a Bit-Gamer Hall of Fame
inductee since it was released earlier this year. We still play it and we still think it's awesome too - which should help explain the 95 per cent score and Premium Award.
