Lost Planet was a mixed bag on both PC and Xbox 360 in terms of gameplay, but if there's one thing we can say about it then it's the awesomeness of the graphics. It's like having little bits of polygonal bliss drip-fed into your eyeballs.
And now it looks like there may be a second game in the series on the horizon. Hopefully this one will get the gameplay right and still keep the lush graphics.
Lost Planet Colonies was rated by the German ratings body, the USK, today. The game is listed by the USK as being a third person shooter for the Xbox 360 which will be published in Germany by a Capcom subsidiary.
Colonies has been rumoured as being on the way for a fair old while now. Trademarks for the game's name first appeared this spring, but Capcom repeatedly refused to
confirm to us if there was a sequel or expansion in development. Capcom even stayed quiet when Dutch publisher Noblis listed the game as set for a January 2008 release on Xbox 360 and PC.
Now it seems that the cat is out of the bag though - three seperate pieces of evidence is pretty much enought confirm that the game is on the way.
That said,
Joystiq points out that the USK listing could be an error and this could just be the PlayStation 3 version of the game finally rearing it's head.
