Sapphire Radeon RX 580 Nitro+ 8GB Overclocking
With Sapphire's Trixx software, we set the card to its maximum power limit of 150 percent, and began ramping up the clock speed.
Initially, we capped out at 1,451MHz, but Trixx allows you to push more voltage through the GPU, and with an additional 96mV we doubled this 40MHz boost, giving us a final stable boost clock of 1,491MHz, which the card was able to run at constantly thanks to the unlocked power limit. This is a near-six percent overclock and 10MHz more than we achieved on the Asus Strix card – nothing to write home about but not bad either.
2.25GHz (9Gbps effective) is the built-in limit for memory overclocking, and like the Asus Strix card the Sapphire RX 580 Nitro+ 8GB had no trouble reaching and maintaining this clock speed, a healthy 12.5 percent boost.
